FRANK SAMUEL STONE - flight engineer
Frank Stone was born on October 10, 1906 in England. He was a member of the RAF and was the oldest crew member.
He was married to Helen Violet. They lived together in Redbridge, England. It wasn't until 2018 that Rudy was able to find relatives of Frank Stone, Nick Stone.
Helen Stone moved to Plymouth, New-Zealand in 1946.
Stone joined the crew at 30 OTU in Seighford On August 21, 1944. He made 6 operational flights in the 460th Squadron.
Stone made his final flight on February 20-21 1945 when returning from a bomb raid on Dortmund the Lancaster was shot down by a German fighter. He was 38 years.
