      BRYANT BRADDOCK - top turret gunner



      Bryant Braddock was born on August 28, 1917 in City Beach, West Australia. He was a member of the Royal Australian Air Force.

      He married Janine Elisabeth Braddock in 1936.

      The couple had no children. After Braddocks death, Janine remarried and went through life as Janine Chaplin.

      Her brother serve in the RAAF in Engeland too and died during the Battle of Britain in 1940. This made such an impact on Braddock that he quit his job as a journalist and enlisted in the RAAF.

      Braddock got his basic training in Australia and further training in England. On August 21, 1944 he joined the crew.

      Braddock made a fatal flight on February 20-21, 1945, after a raid to Dortmund. He was 27 years old..
